From the end of Southend Pier, head north west. The marker bouys for Hadleigh Ray are just under a mile in front of you. The entrance to Leigh creek is marked with unlit bouys all the way down to Bell Wharf, keep these bouys close to your port side, the channel is deep, but narrow. The channel snakes to the north and then runs directly past the end of Bell Wharf and continues tight in to the shore. There are a number of commercial fishing boats all moored on the north side of the channel and these make navigation easy. Keep these boats tight to your starboard and follow the channel up to Leigh Marina.
